Kutla – The Hidden Treasure in Himalayas

Are you looking for a magical land that is totally disconnected from the busy world you are living in? Don’t you want to go someplace, sit peacefully, and do nothing? If you are looking for this, we personally recommend to backpack Kutla. Kutla is a mysterious village located in Himachal Pradesh, India. This small isolated place situated in Parvati valley where you will realize even on earth there are glimpses of heaven. The place is nurtured with fresh air and nature which makes anyone extend their stay from their pre-planned Himachal trip schedules.

The place is located in the middle of the Himalayan mountains at the height of around 8500 ft above sea level offers a pleasant vibe which makes you a bond with mother nature. The trek to Kutla offers scenic waterfalls and mountains where you can stuff your cameras with charming pictures. Your mind will blow off by witnessing huge pine trees and green meadows on the route. It takes around a 1-hour trek to get there. Since the place is less explored, you can merely see people on the way. You feel blessed and mindful when you walk alone through the thick woods and narrow streams on the way.

Here you can see around 20 number of people living happily. They are very excited to treat their visitors at its best which makes you feel like your home. Since its very far from nearby towns, they cultivate their own food here. They have a good number of cattle for milk and transportation purpose. They provide rooms to stay in. People there offer some treks which are possible from Kutla to other places at affordable costs.

Mobile networks are not available here. So you can be with yourself and explore the serene nature. Kutla is safe for couples and perfectly suited for solo travelers. The weather is pleasant when you go from March to October time. You can purely witness and explore nature. It will be filled with icy snows when you go from November to march. You can prefer both seasons depends on your mood.

How to get there?

Nearest Airports are there in Bhuntar, Delhi, and Chandigarh. Bhuntar is the place you need to get down when you coming from Delhi, Chandigarh and Manali sides. You will get direct buses from Delhi (around 10 hours), Chandigarh(around 7 hours), and Manali. From Bhuntar you need to go Barshaini through Kasol. You can go by local buses or hire a taxi. Once you reach in Barshaini you need to go Tosh. You can walk or hire a taxi. From Tosh, you need to trek Kutla.

The trek is moderate(1 to 2 hours), not that easy. You need to cross steep and narrow ways. You need to walk adjacent to the cliffs which make your journey adventurous. Do carry water and take rests often on the way. If you are tired to go for a trek, take a day rest from Tosh and then head Kutla. You easily get rooms and guest houses at very low costs in Tosh. Make sure you are on your right path from start to beginning. There might be a chance to get lost. You can ask the people on the way. If you having a heavy backpack, there are some shops in Barshaini, and Tosh they safely keep your luggage at a very small price. There are many options to stay there. They have rooms, campsites at a very cheap price. There is a small shop to buy food and beverages. Food is limited there. You need to eat what they have. But still, you get some choices to order. Stay how much you want until your mind says to move to another place.

There are some places on earth that are hidden, less explored, and a little hard to reach. But once you reach there, it offers pretty insane views and memories. Kutla is one of those treasures where you can discover yourself and seek your happiness.
